Hand coded applications can be developed when required. NJR Web Design & Marketing Partnership has designed and programmed an on-line environmental water management service called Dataflow that is now live in the UK. dataflow is technology based and includes water loggers that records continuous 15 minutes flow rates.

A pulse counting cable is fitted to the water meter which collects data in a micro-processor.  The data from the micro-processor is then transmitted to the Dataflow server either througfh a local radio transmission to a dedicated modem or using SMS text messages.

When thisa data arrives at the Dataflow server it is processed for unusual consumption patterns and the if detected an alarm is triggered.  These alarms are customised for each location.  The delivery of the system is reliant upon state-of-the-art digital technology.

The next stage of the project is to offer Dataflow services for other metered utilities providing a total building efficiency monitoring system.
